WHAT: Meijer State Games of Michigan Field Day

WHERE: Boys & Girls Club of Troy / 3670 John R Road, Troy, MI 48083

WHEN: Wednesday, June 17 / 10:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHY: To promote the MSGOM and healthy lifestyle for all and provide youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Troy with the opportunity to learn and be motivated to participate in recreation and sports lifelong.

BACKGROUND:
The Meijer State Games of Michigan is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event(s) that welcomes athletes regardless of age or ability level. The Games embody the values of participation, sportsmanship and healthy living. The MSGOM offers 40+ sports and more than 7,500 athletes will compete in the 2015 event spanning over three weekends starting on June 19-21 followed by June 25-28 with the main weekend, with the Meijer State Game concluding on August 8-9. The multi-sport will take place at 44 different venues throughout the Grand Rapids (MI) area. 

The Boys & Girls Club of Troy, at 3670 John R Road, is a non-profit youth development organization that provides educational and recreational activities, in addition to mentoring programs, to more than 1,200 children, ages six to 18, in the tri-county area of metropolitan Detroit. For nearly four decades, the Club's positive environment has enabled members to become responsible, self-reliant, and caring adults.
