As the Troy School District migrates to a hybrid schedule for Middle and High Schools, BGCT understands the stress that this can place on a family, and we want to help.


The Boys & Girls Club of Troy (BGCT) is excited to announce that we will be offering a new School Day Program for youth ages 6-14. Here are the important details to know.


1) BGCT School Day Program for Middle and High School students will is currently open.

2) Given the nature of the limits needed for social distancing, we are only allowed to open for about 100 students. To make this feasible for the Club, the registration fee for theSchool Day Program will be $25. A BGCT membership must be up to date.

3) The club will be open from 7am-6pm. Your program fee will cover the hours from 7am-4pm. To assist in creating some normalcy to the school day, we will not be charging for Extended Hours in the morning as we typically have. Afternoon Extended Hours (4-6pm) will be charged at $5/hr.


4) Our School Day Program will help your child with their online learning. BGCT's Staff Members will be present each day to assist your child's learning. Homework assistance will be provided for all core subjects. Additionally, we will have time available for your child to get physical activity in our gym or outdoor play spaces. Arts & crafts projects will available each day.


5) While BGCT does have some tablets and computers to assist with learning, we expect that each child will bring their own technology capable of learn virtually. WiFi will be provided.


6) This program is welcome to students from all districts in the region. New families to BGCT are welcome to the program as well.


7) Our traditional After School Program will not be taking place until the traditional school day is brought back to Troy Schools.


Please note that we have been open and running our Summer Program over the past two months following strict social distancing and safety guidelines. These practices will continue throughout the School Day program as well.

Upcoming Informational Meetings/Orientations


In lieu of in person orientations, we are asking all participating families (new and old) to participate in one of our upcoming Informational/Orientation Meetings via zoom. Families with interest in the School Day program are welcome to participate in any meeting as well. Each family must attend one of the meetings before your child can attend the School Day Program.

ABOUT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF TROY SCHOOL DAY PROGRAM

In addition to its summer programming, the Boys & Girls Club of Troy will be serving local youth with its new School Day Program, a fun, safe, and affordable experience for kids aged 6-14. The Middle/High Hybrid School Day Program runs for 4 weeks starting October 19, with operating hours from 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. every weekday.

Offering a positive and safe environment for young people, the Boys & Girls Club of Troy and its programs and activities are led by a caring, responsible, and professional adult staff. The 18,000 square foot facility includes a gymnasium, games room, technology/learning center, art/music room, teen center and more. Club members also have access to large outdoor recreation and sports areas due to the close proximity to Barnard Elementary School as well as Raintree Park.

The Club’s School Day program provides parents with great flexibility to tailor visits to the Club in accordance with family plans including vacations and extracurricular activities. Programs and activities are scheduled to work around member's online learning schedules each day, giving members the opportunity to participate in a variety of options throughout the day, including but not limited to: arts and crafts, music and drama, sports skill building, recreational games and leagues, computer/iPad skills and games, movies, enrichment programs, outdoor games and much more.

Registration for the Boys & Girls Club of Troy School Day Programs starts at $500, with an additional $70 annual membership fee required. This grants access to our members beyond the School Day Program, allowing participation in the Club’s after-school programming (when traditional school days return) which runs September-June, and opportunities to purchase a spot in our Summer Program. No refunds.

All activities are age appropriate, as members are classified into groups based on largely on their grade level.
