BGCT Staff will assist with online instruction and provide homework assistance, while your child learns, has fun at the Club, makes new friends, and remains active.
As the Troy School District migrates to a hybrid schedule for Middle and High Schools, BGCT understands the stress that this can place on a family, and we want to help.
The Boys & Girls Club of Troy (BGCT) is excited to announce that we will be offering a new School Day Program for youth ages 6-14. Here are the important details to know.
1) BGCT School Day Program for Middle and High School students will is currently open.
2) Given the nature of the limits needed for social distancing, we are only allowed to open for about 100 students. To make this feasible for the Club, the registration fee for theSchool Day Program will be $25. A BGCT membership must be up to date.
3) The club will be open from 7am-6pm. Your program fee will cover the hours from 7am-4pm. To assist in creating some normalcy to the school day, we will not be charging for Extended Hours in the morning as we typically have. Afternoon Extended Hours (4-6pm) will be charged at $5/hr.
4) Our School Day Program will help your child with their online learning. BGCT's Staff Members will be present each day to assist your child's learning. Homework assistance will be provided for all core subjects. Additionally, we will have time available for your child to get physical activity in our gym or outdoor play spaces. Arts & crafts projects will available each day.
5) While BGCT does have some tablets and computers to assist with learning, we expect that each child will bring their own technology capable of learn virtually. WiFi will be provided.
6) This program is welcome to students from all districts in the region. New families to BGCT are welcome to the program as well.
7) Our traditional After School Program will not be taking place until the traditional school day is brought back to Troy Schools.
Please note that we have been open and running our Summer Program over the past two months following strict social distancing and safety guidelines. These practices will continue throughout the School Day program as well.

Upcoming Informational Meetings/Orientations
In lieu of in person orientations, we are asking all participating families (new and old) to participate in one of our upcoming Informational/Orientation Meetings via zoom. Families with interest in the School Day program are welcome to participate in any meeting as well. Each family must attend one of the meetings before your child can attend the School Day Program.
