Payment Options!


Upon registering your child for for the Summer Program (beginning March 1st), you will have two options for payment. The first option will be to pay the entire bill at the time of registration, and the NEW second option is to pay half of the Program Registration fees (Add-On Programs not included) for each child at the time of registration and pay the remaining balance with the required credit card on file on or before June 11th.

BGCT IS BACK!!! Following our successful summer program in 2020 despite COVID-related challenges, we plan to offer a bigger and better Summer Program in 2021, all the while maintaining a safe and positive environment for our members and staff.


We believe in the power of our program, the sense of community and belonging it provides our members. This has become more apparent this year, amidst the upheaval, disappointment, and grief our children have faced. Despite these lofty goals, we know opening camp brings risks and uncertainty that cannot be eliminated even with the best intention and preparation.


1) BGCT Summer Program will open on Monday, June 21. The Summer Program will run through Friday, August 20th.

2) Given the nature of the limits needed for social distancing, we are only allowed to open for a limited number of participants, which will be a fraction of our normal capacity. Space is extremely limited. Additionally, extended hours (7-10am and 4-6pm) will be charged at $5/hr.

3) Changing our program dramatically in the Summer of 2020 resulted in some great successes that we want to carry forward into 2021. First and foremost, our focus will remain the same: a safe, fun, and positive environment. Among the changes to our program: members will stay in the same groups throughout the summer and rotate through five different activities each day and not have the choice among numerous options like we have done in the past, groups will eat lunch together in program areas along with a number of other safety protocols. Activities will focus on keeping members active and having fun while properly distanced from one another. Additionally, field trips are cancelled at this time, but other add-on programs will still be offered (see below).

4) We will not be running a separate teen program and will roll any members aged 13-18 into our LIT Program for the summer. They will be expected to participate within the designated activities.

5) Personal belongings, including lunches and water bottles, will remain with the member throughout the day. Our Coat Room (communal storage) will be closed for the summer.

6) Parents, Guardians, non-member family members and guests will not be permitted in the building. If a face to face meeting is required, please schedule with advanced notice. Day of appointments may not be available, but Club Management is always available through phone or email. A health check will be performed in the parking lot before members can enter the building.

7) Cleaning will continue to be a priority as well. Program areas will be cleaned throughout the day and after each program shift. Restrooms will be cleaned multiple times a day. Drinking fountains will be closed, but members will have access to a touchless water bottle filling station. Members will be asked to wash their hands either at the beginning and/or ending of each activity block.

8) You will be purchasing a spot in the program for all nine weeks. Unfortunately, individual weeks are not available for purchase. No refunds.

SUMMER BRAIN GAIN: READ!
$60/child
Ages 6-7
Offered to Starters (ages 6-7) only, Summer Brain Gain: Read! is an eight-week literacy program designed to combat summer learning loss. The program is intended to improve the reading skills of youth with a new book presented each week along with supporting activities.

Ages 8-9
Offered to Cadets (ages 8-9) only, this Summer Brain Gain: Read! session is an eight-week literacy program designed to combat summer learning loss and help older readers strengthen their abilities. The program is intended to improve the reading skills of older youth with a new book presented each week along with supporting activities.

STEM PROGRAM
$80/child
Ages 8+
Our STEM programs allow members to investigate and explore the latest Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math concepts through teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.  his program will be held on Mondays.

SPORTS LEAGUES
$30/child per sport
OR $100/child for all 4 sports
Fun, non-competitive leagues give members opportunities to hone their athletic skills and boost their physical fitness levels. Participants will be placed onto age appropriate teams when the program begins.

CARDIO KICKBOXING
$30/child
Ages 8+
Youth (ages 8+) will learn proper form & boxing/kickboxing techniques through basic drills & easy to follow combinations utilizing controlled punches & kicks. Benefits will include improve balance, strength & gross motor skills. The instructor will also lead the class through various calisthenics to get the heart rate up & burn calories. This 50-minute class will be on Tuesdays.


FANTASTIC GYMNASTICS & TUMBLING
$30/child
Ages 8+
Fantastic Gymnastics is a wildly fun class based on skill building and learning. Our BGCT Staff Instructors, with years of personal experience, will build a weekly program, building upon the previous week, intended to develop new skills and abilities, while growing previously learn skills. This program will be challenging enough for tumblers with experience and for those who are just jumping into it. 


BEGINNER YOUTH HATHA YOGA
$30/child
Ages 8+
Youth (ages 8+) will learn gentle stretching poses for relaxation, stress reduction and increased flexibility. The class is designed to show basic yoga poses that are easy for youth to follow. A focus on balance, mindfulness & concentration will be taught as well. This 50-minute class will be on Thursdays at 2:10 p.m. starting June 27.

ABOUT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF TROY SUMMER PROGRAM

In addition to its after-school programming, the Boys & Girls Club of Troy will once again serve local youth with its Summer Program, a fun, safe, and affordable experience for kids aged 6-18. The program runs for 9 weeks starting June 21, with operating hours from 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. every weekday.

Offering a positive and safe environment for young people, the Boys & Girls Club of Troy and its programs and activities are led by a caring, responsible, and professional adult staff. The 18,000 square foot facility includes a gymnasium, games room, technology/learning center, art/music room, teen center and more. Club members also have access to large outdoor recreation and sports areas due to the close proximity to Barnard Elementary School as well as Raintree Park.

The Club’s drop-in program provides parents with great flexibility to tailor visits to the Club in accordance with family plans including vacations and extracurricular activities. Programs and activities are scheduled throughout the day, giving members the opportunity to participate variety of options throughout the day, including but not limited to: arts and crafts, music and drama, sports skill building, recreational games and leagues, computer/iPad skills and games, movies, enrichment programs, outdoor games and much more.

Registration for the Boys & Girls Club of Troy Summer Program starts at $900, with an additional $70 annual membership fee required. This grants access to our members beyond the summer, allowing participation in the Club’s after-school programming which runs September-June. No refunds.

All activities are age appropriate, as members are classified into groups based on their age - Starters (ages 6-7), Cadets (ages 8-9), Juniors (ages 10-12) and Teens (ages 13+).
