Taste of Troy's "Tailgate Tastefest" a Great Success

March 29, 2016

The 24th Annual Taste of Troy fundraiser on March 6 was definitely a successful Tailgate TasteFest based on the mouth-watering food prepared by Troy’s finest restaurants and food establishments and their decorative display booths. Restaurants and attendees dressed in their favorite sports jerseys and the theme carried over to many of the Live and Silent Auction items.

The annual food-tasting event offered samplings from 29 area restaurants with a Tailgate TasteFest theme this year, along with emcee and popular WDIV Channel 4 Meteorologist Andrew Humphrey, and fabulous live and silent auction items.

Participating restaurants were judged by a panel of food connoisseurs in the Critics’ Choice categories, and attendees voted for their favorites in the People’s Choice categories.

  • Best Appetizer/Soup/Salad – McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks (Salmon Mousse Black Seafood Cones)

  • Best Entrée – Ocean Prime (Bourbon Braised Short Ribs)
  • Best Dessert – Edible Arrangements (Chocolate Covered Fruit)
