YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL
The Boys & Girls Club of Troy is currently looking to hire Youth Development Professionals to join the Club’s summer staff and work with Club members aged 6-18. As a key part of our team, a Youth Development Professional is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of activities and programs, in areas of development which include, but are not limited to: Character and Leadership; Education and Career; Sports, Fitness and Recreation; Health and Life Skills; and the Arts. A person in this position works in conjunction with the Program Director and other Club staff to plan, develop and evaluate programming.

Youth Development Professionals at the Boys & Girls Club of Troy play a critical role in: developing a unique environment appealing to youth; increasing visibility of Club programs, both within the Club and outside; develop strategies for recruiting new members; serving as a mentor for Club kids; ensuring productive and effective performance of volunteers working in the Club; and other duties as assigned.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week from early-September through mid-June, with a possibility of remaining on staff during the summer program which resumes in June.

Some college education and experience working with youth is required. Experience planning and supervising activities and programs for young people is very helpful. Candidates must have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills. Completing CPR and First Aid training (provided by Boys & Girls Club of Troy) at least bi-annually is mandatory.

Front Desk Staff
$9.00 an hour - Part-time

The Boys & Girls Club of Troy is looking for a friendly, outgoing person with strong multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills to join its staff as a front desk attendant. The person in this role reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for such daily tasks as:
- Greeting members as they enter and leave the building, making sure they scan in and out
- Greeting parents as they drop off and pick up their children
- Responsible for tracking and collecting outstanding billable hours and transportation charges
- Manage member’s personal information through COMET Software
- Report any concerning issues to management
- Answer telephones and distribute calls
- Assist and report to the Office Manager
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 10-20 hours per week. Some college education is required. Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented and have strong communication and organizational skills.
