Summer Day Camp Program Staff (Summer 2024)
The Boys & Girls Club of Troy is currently looking to hire Summer Day Camp Program Staff to join the Club’s summer staff and work with Club members aged 6-15. As a key part of our team, a Summer Day Camp Staff member is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of activities and programs, in areas of development which include, but are not limited to: Character and Leadership; Education and Career; Sports, Fitness and Recreation; Health and Life Skills; and the Arts. A person in this position works in conjunction with the Program Director and other Club staff to plan, develop and evaluate programming.

Youth Development Professionals/Program Staff at the Boys & Girls Club of Troy play a critical role in: developing a unique environment appealing to youth; increasing visibility of Club programs, both within the Club and outside; develop strategies for recruiting new members; serving as a mentor for Club kids; ensuring productive and effective performance of volunteers working in the Club; and other duties as assigned.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 25-30 hours per week from mid-June through mid-August, with a possibility of remaining on staff during the after-school program which resumes in late August.

Some college education and experience working with youth is recommended. Experience planning and supervising activities and programs for young people is very helpful. Candidates must have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills. Completing CPR and First Aid training (provided by Boys & Girls Club of Troy) at least bi-annually is mandatory.

Position includes flexible schedules and no night or weekends.

As a key part of our team, a Summer Day Camp Junior Staff member is responsible for assisting our Program Staff with the delivery of a broad range of activities and programs, in areas of development which include, but are not limited to: Character and Leadership; Education and Career; Sports, Fitness and Recreation; Health and Life Skills; and the Arts.

A person in this position works in conjunction with the Program Director and other Club staff to plan, develop and evaluate programming.
