The safety and protection of the children we serve is the number one priority of the Boys & Girls Club of Troy. Our organization is committed to the highest standards of ethical behavior and integrity, and does not tolerate inappropriate or illegal activity on the part of any Club staff, volunteer or youth member. All employees and volunteers must undergo a thorough criminal background check. Also supervisory policies are designed to ensure the maximum safety and protection of Club member and staff.

Training for All Staff:

Stewards of Children - Teaches how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.  This training segment conducted by CARE House of Oakland County.

Praesidium - An online leader in Youth Protection Training.

CPR and AED Training - All program staff must obtain certification in CPR and AED use, whether that training is provided by BGCT through a vendor or another organization.

Club Staff Training - Staff members must all complete an in house training regarding member safety. Additionally, staff will have on-going safety discussions to continue to keep the safety of our members a top concern. 

Active Shooter and Fire Safety Training - Training provided by the Troy Police and Fire Departments.

Additionally, the Boys & Girls Club of Troy has security camera coverage of the premises.
